paro tshechu

  One of the biggest festivals of Bhutan, Paro Tshechu is held at Rinpung Dzong to celebrate the birth anniversary of Padmasambhava also known as Guru Rinpoche. Holding a religious significance, the festival lets the tourists witness a unique dance form of Bhutan i.e., Mask Dance inside the courtyard of the dzong.  The five-day festival is celebrated in honour of Guru Rinpochoe. The entire celebration grabs the attention but one thing that one shouldn’t miss out witnessing is the unfurling of the silk Thangka. The Thangka or ‘thongdroel’ is a religious picture scroll which is exhibited only for a few hours during the daytime on the final day of the festival allowing the people to attain blessing. The festival is held for five days. Each day has something unique to offer. The first day involves the pre-festival rituals will be carried out. "When you study, great teachers… you will learn much more from their caring and hard work than from their style." –William Glasser   Teachers' Day   is a special day for the appreciation teachers  and is celebrated every year on 2nd may. This  years it was celebrated under the theme "The transformation of education begins with teacher" Teachers shape the lives of the children. They build societies of responsible and humane citizens. A child learns his first bits from home, but most important indelible lessons from his/her teacher. If one gets a good guide in a teacher and follows their directions, one definitely prospers in life. Teachers are the pillars that keep you grounded and still enable you to build castles. Humanity would not have prospered, had it not been for influential role of philosophers, teachers and guides. They mentor you to face any struggle and not to give up, despite facing hurdles themselves
